Robert James Carter

Robert (Bob) James Carter, a retired contractor, departed this life at his residence on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Father of Anthony, Robert, and Racquel Johnson, Lionel Spencer, and the late Shonn Johnson. Grandfather of Shonn, Anthony, and Amani. Son of the late Jimmy Carter and Julia Brown. Brother of Sam Carter of Detroit, MI, Isiah Carter of Memphis, TN, Lulia Carter, Geraldine Ingram, Berniece Spencer all of Starkville, MS, Williou Carter, Bernadine Carter of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Rosie Douglas of Memphis, TN. Devoted friend of Ann, Linda, Alberta, and Melissa, also survived by 3 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 67 years a native of Starkville, Ms. and resident of New Orleans, LA.  

Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Ryan Gootee General Contractors, LLC are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Johnny Byrd officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Holt Cemetery- New Orleans, LA.
