David McMillon, Sr.

David “The Coconut Man” McMillon, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Cura Healthcare at the age of 92. He retired from International Trade Mark New Orleans.

Husband of the late Dorothy Lloyd McMillon. Beloved father of David G. McMillon, II. Son of the late George and Hattie “Katie” Bolden McMillon. Brother of the late John, Samuel, Louis, Rudolphy McMillon and Daisy McMillon Lomax. Uncle of Helen Wamble, Katie Neason, Beatrie Ringo, Dorothy Morgan, Elder Patricia Johnson, Philip Lomax, Eric and Emmanuel McMillon. Preceded in death by 1 grandchild and grandparents, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 93 years a native and a resident of New Orleans, LA

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Community Baptist Church, Pentecost Baptist Church, and neighboring churches; members of Zulu Social & Pleasure Club; employees of Dorias & Maurice Barber Shop, Freeman Company, and Advance America Cash, invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.

Interment: Resthaven Cemetery- New Orleans, LA.
