Leah Washington McDonald

Leah Jane Washington McDonald entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence at the age of 94. She was a native and resident of Gretna, LA. Leah was a retired school teacher in Plaquemines Parish and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Gretna for 67 years.

Wife of the late Albert Earl McDonald, Sr. Devoted mother of Critty McDonald Beaucoudray, Grayling, Albert, Jr. (Renel), Bennie, Rickie, and Alonzo McDonald, Sr. Daughter of the late Bennie and Julia Peterson Washington. Sister of the late Prentiss Washington, Sr. and Dorothy Washington Charles. Sister in law of Joseph McDonald. Mother in law of Coach Troy Beaucoudray. Devoted friend of Deborah Langlois, also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Gretna and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Gretna 610 6th St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00a.m.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
