Dolores Andrews Thornton

Dolores Andrews Thornton entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.

Beloved wife of Lynwood H. Thornton, Sr. Devoted mother of Lynwood H. (Jadea) Thornton, Jr., Courtney (Taronald) Fontenot, Paulette Howard, and the late Wayne Paul Thornton. Daughter of the late Merritt L. Andrews and Emma Andrews. Sister of Shirley (Joseph) Simmons, Naomi Andrews King, Bernadette Andrews Davis, Faye LaCaze, Debra Mullins, and the late Christian Andrews, Sr., also survived by 7 grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 83 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family, priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and neighboring churches; members of Knights of Peter Claver Inc . St. Joseph the Worker Court # 267 are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00a.m.
