Rousell “Tell” Berry, Jr. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the age of 81. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved husband of the late Zenobia “Zee” Berry. Loving father of Rousell Berry, III, and Aline Dove. Devoted grandfather of Rojaunda, Latoya, Cornell, and Tiffany Berry, David, Jr., and Madrid Dove, Rayheim Brown, Corey Ell Butler and Kristy Brown (Corey) Butler. Son of the late Rousell Berry, Sr. and Lucille Franklin Berry. Brother of Joseph Berry, Sr. and the late Ivory, Sr., and Isiah Berry, Yvonne Riley, Leontine Ellison, Ruth Price and Della Ross. Godfather of the late Tyronne Brooks. Brother-in-law of Gayle (Charles) Landry, Marilyn Davis, Kathy (Jackie) Williams, Linconia Brooks, Delores Coleman, Rosalie Raheem, Yvonne Berry, and Raymond Ellison; also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 3 goddaughters, 2 godson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Baptist Church, St Matthews and Asbury United Methodist Churches, Second Nazarine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Metropolitan Developmental Center (formerly Belle Chasse State School) are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place, Algiers, LA on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Andre Sigler, officiating Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the church.
