Johnnie Mae Smith

Johnnie Mae Lyles Smith, age 72, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She was a native of Natchez, MS and a resident of Harahan, LA. Johnnie was a retired presser and cashier of Normand’s Cleaners and Southern Belle Cleaners. Beloved wife of the late Edward Smith. Loving mother of Mary L. Lyles. Stepmother of Brenda Montgomery, Lavonne and Chiquita Williams, Shonda Reese, Elbert and Cynthia Smith, Marie and Linda Wells, and Cynthia Galmore. Daughter of the late Edward Profit and Lizzie Gooseberry Kim. Stepdaughter of Flora S. Profit. Sister of Edward L. Profit, Donna Rene Spurlock, and the late Jeanette Meeks, Ronald Sims and James Wesley; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Family Worship of Algiers, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Natchez and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 Lower Woodville Rd. Natchez, MS on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Mt. Olive MBC Cemetery-Natchez, MS
