Thomas Bunch Sr.

Thomas Collins Bunch Sr., age 75, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his residence. He was a native of Utica, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Thomas retired from Avondale Shipyards after 43 years of employment. He was a Deacon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where he also sung in the Male Chorus and was Vice President of the Men’s Brotherhood Ministry. Beloved husband of Kathy Bunch. Loving father of Thomas (Latonya) Bunch Jr., Terrence Bunch, Michelle Bunch-Grayson, Jacqueline Wiley, and Jerrod Bunch. Stepfather of Quandell Bunch, Cedric Wilson and Frederica Thompson. Son of the late Nute and Hattie Mae Bunch. Brother of Eddie (Linda) Bunch Sr., David (Belinda) Bunch, Asrie Barwell, Azelean Bickman, Margie Sibley, Alice Hall, Minnie Warren, Catherine Williams, Ruby Bunch, and the late Nute Bunch Jr.; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Wake Service at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 5919 Morrison Rd., New Orleans, LA on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 6:00p.m. Pastor Reginald Varnado Sr., officiating Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m. until service time the above named church. Dismissal Service and Interment will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, 9820 Nine Mile Pt. Rd.
