Sam Benard

Sam Benard entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was a retired employee of Evans Cooperage.

Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Benard. Devoted father of Mary Estelle Dennis, Earnest Daniels, and the late Luella and Willie J. Benard. Son of the late Willie, Sr. and Pearl Benard. Brother of Willie Benard, Jr., Robert E. Benard, Wanda Faye Benard, Helen Benard, and the late Earnestine, Ermastine, Louella, Leon, and Joseph Benard, and Estelle Bell, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 96 years a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th St., Westwego, LA., on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Pastor Woodrow Hayden, Officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. at the above named church.

Interment: Restlawn Cemetery Park Avondale, LA.
