Hattie Marie Blackwell Jacobs a homemaker entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Ochsner Extended Care Hospital of Kenner at the age of 62. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.

Beloved wife of Joseph Jacobs, Jr. Devoted mother of Jerrod B. Jacobs, Jermaine (Patricia) Jacobs of Stafford, TX., Jellice J. (James) Pierre, Janell Jacobs (Daryl) Carey of Fayetteville, AR., and bonus children Jermaine (Avril) Allen, Angelia Bell, and Kippy Anthony. Daughter of the late Harry, Jr. and Lucille Blackwell. Sister of Harry Blackwell, III, Wayne A. (Delee) Blackwell, Cheryl B. Cannon of St. Louis MO., Olivia Mayo of Valencia, Ca., Yvonne B. (Lionel) Jupiter, Angela B. Roscoe of Fayetteville, AR., and the late Harold (Rose) Netter and Eric Leon Blackwell, also survived by 25 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Ora Vista B.C., First Emanuel B.C., Marine and Mt. Moriah Community Church and neighboring churches; members of Soul Knights Motor Cycle Club, Inc are invited to attend the funeral service at Marine and Mt. Moriah Community Church 3034 Andover St. Jefferson, LA on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00a.m.
