Larry Kendell Gillard departed this life on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the age of 29. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Larry was employed as an Offshore Deckhand. Loving father of Lyrik and My’Kala . Beloved son of Dionne Gillard. Grandson of Beatrice (Frank) Palmer, Curtis Gillard, Timothy Webb, Clenzo Knox, and thelate Percy Burns, Sr. and Luella Knox. Brother of DeShonte Gillard, Duana Gillard, and Derrica Gonzales. Nephew of the late Ollie Doll Hilson and Johnny Stokes; also survived by 5 nieces, 3 nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Heavenly Star Baptist Church, City of Love Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Don Born Ford and Kankoil Manufacturing Company are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Heavenly Star Baptist Church, 1020 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Bishop Justin Connor, officiating; Rev. Aubrey Wallace, host pastor Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
