Virginia Lee Ferguson

Virginia Lee Scott Ferguson entered into eternal rest on Friday June 9, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank.

She worked in the service industry as a Housekeeping Supervisor for a number of hotels, and hospitals.  Virginia later worked in the home health industry.  

Ms. Virginia as she was lovingly called touched many lives.  She was always ready to offer assistance to anyone in need.  She will always be remembered for her sharp wit, great cooking and warm laughter.

Wife of the late Cornelius Ferguson, Jr . Devoted mother of Beverly (Myron) Walker, Terry (Myria ) Scott, Vernon Ferguson, Florence Videau (Eddie Granger) and the late Alta Lorenza Ferguson Perez. Grandmother of Dorian, Terrance, Myron, Jr., Tiffany, Vernon, Taizha, Jordan, Brandon, and the late Latriece Denise Walker. Daughter of the late Alta Felder Cotten, Fred Cotten, and Lee Scott, Jr. Sister of Bertha Scott Reed, Denise Scott, Larry Scott, Patricia Scott Anders, Gary Scott (Marie) Jones, Brigida Scott Reid, Mizell (Rachel) Scott, Ike (Patsy) Scott, Vounder Scott, Shannon Scott (Darren) Scott, and the late Mary Scott Nichols, Roger Scott and Jerry Scott. Mother in law of the late Matthew Perez, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Age: 76 years a native of Magnolia, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Faith Church, Hosanna Fellowship and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral services at Hosanna Fellowship 400 Weidman St. Gretna, LA. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery Avondale, LA.
