Donald “Champ” Jackson, Sr. departed this life at his residence on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the age of 59. He was a native and resident of Westwego, LA. Husband of Shalinda Marie Jackson. Father of Donald Jackson, Jr., Arevel Jackson, Tangella Jackson, Gerrald Jackson, and Shirley Jackson. Stepfather of Micheal James, Wesley James, Ashley Campbell, and Dextra Rose. Son of the late Phillip and Shirley Ferzande Jackson. Grandson of the late Phillip Jackson and Ida Phipps, Guss and Isabelle Ferzande. Brother of Kim Robinson, Reginald Jackson, Keith Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, Ronald Jackson, Ann Marie (Wayne) Bridges, Veronica (Claude) Jackson, Terrylynn (Leon) Wright, and Willette (Joe) Boudion, also survived by 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Wednesday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Will be Private
