Janice Marie Jackson

Janice Marie Jackson entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the age of 67. She was a native of New Roads, LA, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, and presently residing in Houston, TX.   Janice was a retired Bus Monitor of the Orleans Parish School Board. Loving mother of Lori Jackson (Ralph) McCoy, Fredrick (Nakia) Perkins, and Harold (Kimberlee) Jackson, Jr. Grandmother of the late Vin Jackson. Daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Deorzan. Sister of Landry Deorzan, Sr., Ellroy (Cheran) Ricard, Zeinna (Jerry) Weber, Lilly Sullivan, Ester Sullivan and the late Matthew Sullen; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, Oasis of New Life Church of Houston, TX and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Odeon St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Rev. David Perry, officiating

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
