Dwayne “Red” “Dee” Edward Alphonse, student and landscaper, departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the age of 19. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Loving son of Erica Alphonse and the late Dwayne Glover. Dwayne was reared by his devoted and nurturing grandmother Cynthia Glover whom he loved as a mother. Brother of Alfred Glover, Eric, Erin, Rod’Keesa, Alaysa, and Yasmine Alphonse. Grandson of Crystal Alphonse, Augustus Blanco, Dwayne Riley, and Alfred Scott. Great-grandson of Rebecca Glover Brown and Leon Brown. Nephew of Tyrone, Leon, Dante, Farrell, Rashard, Michael, Kerry, Pinkie, Courtney, Tanya, Cheryl, Alexis, Emelda, and the late Cornell, Kendrell, Ernest, Terell, and Edward. Favorite cousin of Joseph, Kyle, Melvin, Michael, and Nika; also survived by a host of cousins, other relative and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and staff and students of Walker Landry High School are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00a.m.
