Herman Bynum, Jr.

Herman Bynum, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the age of 81. He was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Herman retired from New Orleans Tours as a bus driver after many years of service. Beloved husband of Emelda Bynum. Loving father of Nadine, Rodney (Angella), Charmaine, Robert (Monica), Kimberly, and Shane Bynum, Kellie (Michael) Lathan, Rebecca Holloway, Willie Jr., Randy (Mernita), and Daniel (Lisa) Johnson, and Kathleen (Kevin) Etienne. Son of the late Herman Bynum, Sr. and Pearl Stepteau Bynum. Brother of Carl (Ida), Randy (Marie Snearl), Mark (Colleen), Calvin (Annette), Pierre Keith and Anitra Bynum, Patricia Hamm, Valencia (John) Davis, and the late Beverly Jones and Ollie Bynum-Williams. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law. Herman is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarine Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
