Walter Junius Alveris departed this life on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at his resident. Beloved husband of Doris Mae Franklin Alveris. Devoted father of Wayne Alveris, Sheryl Alveris (the late Robert, Sr.) Jenkins, Freddie (Myra) and Kenneth (Gwendolyn) Sanchez. Son of the late Zachary, Sr. and Olivia B. Alveris. Brother of Roland (Geraldine) Alveris, Barbara A. Davis, and the late Dorothy Mae Griffin, Royal, Burnell, and Zachary Alveris, Jr. Son-in-law of the late Octave, Sr. and Theresa N. Franklin; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law , nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 80 years, a native of Braithwaite, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Oilfield Production Contractors (Talos Energy), Exam 1/Quest Diagnostic, Delta Technology and American Road Lines; Members of 159th Fighter Wing are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 111 Bethlehem Lane, Braithwaite, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Pastor Michael W. Jiles, officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
