Glenda Faye Newbill

Glenda Faye Newbill, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the age of 62. She was a native of Ferriday, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved mother of the late Shantee’ R. Newbill. Devoted grandmother of Courtney M. Newbill. Loving great grandmother of Destin Walker, Charlie Ray Foley and Dustin Walker, Jr. all of Marrero, LA. Daughter of the late Jimmy L. Newbill and Joy M. Newbill. Sister of Phillip Ray Newbill of Monticello, AR, Debra M. Walker and Stepheny A. Glaze of Marrero, LA, Patrick M. Newbill of Ferriday, LA, JeZonn L. Williams of Natchez, MS, Jeneen L. Thomas of San Antonio, TX, Jamika L. Jefferson of Arlington, TX, and Jimmye L. Stanton of Cibolo, TX; also survived by 7 nieces, 12 nephews, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was a true gem and touched the lives of all who knew her. To know her was to love her, and she will be missed dearly.  

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way Marrero, LA on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr., officiating

Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m. until 9:50a.m. ONLY at the church.

Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA
