Leona Ruth Powell

Leona R. Powell, a retired cook, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the age of 81. She was a native of Harvey, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Loving mother of Barbara, Cleveland, Oliver (RoAnn) Donald (Bobby) and the late Felix and Ronald Ty Powell. Daughter of the late June Fernandez and Martha Anderson Guillory. Leona is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
