Shelita “Me-Me” Charles Jackson departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Devoted mother of Tacarra, Lawinka, and the late JacQuian Charles, Sr. Beloved grandmother of Alasia Shelby, Jamire Henderson, JacQuian, Jr., Dakwon, Jari, Javion and Jamaya Charles. Daughter of Leonard Charles Sr. and Judy Thomas Charles. Sister of Trenita Bell, Malcolm Washington, Leonard, Jr., Kelvin, Leslie, Sr., Kim, Eryn, Sr., and Jason Charles, Sr. Devoted friend of Peter Bartholomew, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 52 years a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church, pastors, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and neighboring churches; employees of Pearlie H. Elloie, Total Community Action, Department of Children and Family Services, and members of Delta Sigma Theta are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 12:30p.m.

Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. at the above named parlor.
