Catherine W. Smiley

Catherine W. Smiley departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 85. She was a native of Crystal Springs, MS, a former resident of New Orleans, LA and presently residing in Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late David Smiley. Loving mother of Antoinette Harris, Darlene Singleton both of Marrero, LA, Donald Smiley of Crystal Springs, MS, and the late Michael and Mitchell Smiley. Daughter of the late Eugene, Sr. and Fannie M. Parker Williams. Sister of Willie B. (Dorothy) Williams of Windsor, WY, Lucille Young, Willie Ruth Williams both of Crystal Springs, MS, and the late Ernest Parker, J. W. Parker, Eugene Williams, Jr., Authorine Williams and Maxine Williams; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church, New Salem Church of Christ Holiness, New Hope Baptist Church, Second Highway Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Pastor Sterling Mealacon, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA
