Charlean Howard

Charlean Howard departed this life at Tulane Medical Center on Saturday, August 19, 2017. She was educated in the New Orleans Public Schools and matriculated from L.B. Landry High School in 1979 to Xavier University of New Orleans. Charlean graduated with a degree in Pharmacy and enjoying working as a pharmacist at Tulane University Hospital for 27 years.  Daughter of the late Woodrow W. Howard and Idella W. Howard. Sister of Rosalie Howard (Eugene) Simmons, Doris Howard (Ronald) Owens, Dorothy Howard Boston, Woodrow W. Howard, Jr., Charles Howard, Sr., and the late Martha Howard Hawthorne and Geraldine Howard Silas. Sister in law of Herman Sias. Former wife of Ronald Gross, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her kindness and generosity.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; L. B. Landry Class of 1979 and Alumni; employees of Tulane Medical Center’s SICU, pharmacy and hospital staff are invited to attend the Funeral Services at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church 1738 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Norman N. Francis pastor officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church

Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA.
