Junius Pierre entered into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his residence.
He was a retired longshoreman with ILA Local 1419. Junius was a World War II Veteran and he received many accommodations which included a Good Conduct Meta, AP Theater Ribbon and Bronze Service Star.
Beloved husband of Lolly Bougere Pierre. Devoted father of Ernest Pierre, Sr., Doris Pierre Belonga, Paulette Howard, and the late Hattie Williams. Son of the late Alex Pierre and Laura Hollins Pierre. Brother of Ruby Mae Pierre and the late James Pierre, Sr. and Joseph Pierre, Sr., also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Age: 92 years a native of White Castle, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA
Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Highway Baptist Church, New Zion Baptist Church, St. John The Baptist Church of White Castle, LA, Life Center, Celebration Church, priest and parishioners of St Bonaventure Catholic Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Second Highway Baptist Church 1533 Haydel Dr. Marrero, LA on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Slidell, LA.
