Curtis Matthew Poole, age 51, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Beloved husband of Shirley Poole. Loving father of Derek (Geneva) Williams. Devoted grandfather of Mariah Williams. Son of Helen Poole and the late Ben Poole, Jr. Brother of Alvin Poole, Sr. Lionel (Oakley) Poole, Benjamin Poole, Raymond (Evangeline) Poole, Christopher Poole, and Carol (Terrance) Dixon. Son-in-law of Viola Williams and the late James Williams, Sr. and Louise Gainey. Brother-in-law of Betty (Lawrence, Sr.) Jacobs, Antoinette Williams, Lisa Ann Williams, Patricia Charles, and the late James Williams, Jr.; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Preston E. Clark, Sr. of Restoration Fellowship Church, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
