Annie Louise Batiste Jones

Annie Louise Batiste Jones answered the call of God on Thursday, August 31, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She retired from New Orleans Adolescent Hospital as a psychiatric technician after many years of service.

Devoted wife of 67 years to Percy L. Jones, Sr. Beloved mother of Percy L. (Joyce) Jones, Jr., Janice (Ellis, Sr.) Cobb, Melvin (Corliss) Jones, Sherrye (the late Walter) Lemieux, Sr. Grandmother of the late Terrance Jones, Sr. Great grandmother of the late Percy Lee Robinson. Daughter of the late Hildren and Julia Mason Batiste. Sister of the late Rosalean Palmer, Thelma Malone, Arthurnease Brass, and Edward Batiste. Godmother of Vanessa Brass of Las Vegas, NV and Kiz Smith of Vallejo, CA. , also survived by 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 84 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John B.C., Word of Faith Temple B.C., Franklin Ave B.C., and neighboring churches; employees of VA Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service at Second St. John Baptist Church 242 Garden Rd. Avondale, LA on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
