Dolores Taylor Lewis

October 23, 1941 — August 26, 2017

Dolores Joyce Taylor Lewis, age 75, entered into Heaven’s Pearly Gates on Saturday, August 26, 2017. She was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. She was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Thomas J. Brown, Jr., where she served faithfully until her death. Beloved wife of the late Richard Lewis. Loving mother of Antoinette Lewis Higgins and Wanda Lewis Robinson. Devoted grandmother of Heath (Courtney) Higgins, Sr., Shawn and Jamar Higgins, Corey and Ebony Anderson, and Ashley Bosby. Daughter of the late Gardner Taylor, Jr. and Mercedes Victor Taylor. Sister of Desi Ray Taylor Webber, Gardner Taylor, III and the late Jacquelynn and Mercedes Taylor. Devoted cousin of Walter Taylor, Jr.; also survived by 22 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Interment: Christian Social Cemetery-Gretna, LA
