Prince DeShawn Clair, age 42, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus. He was a native of Avondale, LA and resident of Harvey, LA. Prince was employed as a Carpenter and a Neighborhood Barber. Beloved husband of Sherika Starks-Clair. Loving father of La’Prince Lewis-Clair, Jacorey, JacolEby, and Jacira Starks. Grandfather of Poetry Lewis and Eli Starks. Son of Freddy Clair and Regina Williams. Grandson of Walter and Catherine Simmons, and the late Milton, Sr. and Mattie Clair and Albert Lewis, Sr. Brother of Hombre Lewis, Damien Clair, Bridget Mitchell, India Lewis, Kenya and Chasidy Clair. Son-in-law of Nadine Petty, Herman (Brendell) Starks, Jr. Brother-in-law of Robert Mitchell, Herman Starks III, Herbert Canselo, Jr., Trey, Jeaneta and Jeronka Starks; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater St. John Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Commercial Builders Group, LLC, and Waste Management are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater St. John Baptist Church, 2823 A Privateer Blvd. Barataria, LA on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
