Evonne W. Bailey

Evonne White Bailey entered into eternal peace on Thursday, September 14, 2017 in Houston, TX at the age of 77. She was a native of Nairn, LA and a resident Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Leon Joseph Bailey. Loving mother of Renny White and Wanda Hunter Lewis. Honorary mother of Lorraine. Grandmother of LeeShawn Lewis (Charlie, Jr.) Brown, Elicia Eyvonne Lewis, Jamal Jai Turner, Deanna, Jeremy, Deanel and Melvin McGee. Daughter of the late Benjamin White, Sr. and Louise White Nye. Stepdaughter of Charlie Nye, Sr. Sister of Leola Nye Bean, Mona Ann Riley, and the late Charlie (Betty) Nye, Jr., Benjamin White, Jr., Larry Riley, Terry Riley, and Iona White Evans. Evonne is also survived by 2 great granddaughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
