Rev. Clenzo Knox, age 79, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, September 28, 2017at his residence. He was a native of Coffeeville, Ms and a resident of Harvey, LA. Rev. Knox proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a retired employee of N.O.P.S.I./Regional Transit Authority for over 30 years and retired as a transit supervisor. For the past 16 years he has been employed as a transportation specialist with the Jefferson Council on Aging (Bridge City). Beloved husband of 35 years to the late Luella Baker Knox. In 2011 he married the late Carol Steel Knox; he was also the former husband of Lenora Jordano Knox. Loving father of Earnest E. (Lucille) Knox, Sr. Stepfather of Faith “Mitzi” (John L.) Jones, Barbara Logan, and Regina Muice of Ft. Worth, TX. Son of the late Robert Knox, Sr. and Velma Perkins Knox. Loving brother of Madiere (William) Moore and the late Lura Clark, Sammy Hooper, Robert Knox, Jr. and Leno Knox, Sr. Loving uncle of Carolyn Collins, who was his caregiver during his illness. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; former employees of R.T. A. and employees of Jefferson Council on Aging are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 242 Avondale Garden Rd.
