Leotha Gladys Triggs

Leotha Gladys Every Triggs departed this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 89. She was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur “Duttie” Triggs of 62 years. Devoted mother of Curtis Robert, Archieve (Cathy) Triggs, Sr., Leona Terrell (Larry Brown), Elder Linda Ann Triggs and the late Russell Louis Triggs. Great grandmother of the late Rachael Harris. Daughter of the late Adam and Amy Adams Every. Sister of the late Elizabeth, Virginia, Earl, Clarence, Ernest, Lloyd, James, and Adam Every, Jr. Sister in law of Eddie and Willie (Laura) Triggs. Devoted friend of Geraldine Batiste and Dr. Clara T. Byes, also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends..

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Heart to Heart Ministries, Greater Zionfield Family Worship Center, Faith In Action M.B.C, Second St. John M.B.C., Feed the Needy Ministry and neighboring churches; members of MLK Task Force,: employees of Gretna Community Center Walter L. Cohen Alumni, Jefferson Parish Recreation Dept., Outback Steakhouse, and Serenity Hospice are invited to attend the funeral service at Fischer Community Church 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. Algiers, LA on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:30a.m.
