Delores Thornton, age 67, departed this life on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Bayside Healthcare Center. She was a native of Lettsworth, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. She was educated in Orleans Parish Public Schools and formerly employed as school cook. Loving mother of Troy Martin. Daughter of the late Jerry Thornton, Sr. and Florence Walker. Sister of Jerry Thornton, Auther Thornton, Bertha Walker, Robert Walker, Donald Walker, Vincent Walker, JoAnn Hamilton, Felma Nodd, Mary Walker and Angela Walker; also survived by a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Will be Private.
