Leona Smith Warmington entered into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, October 16, 2017.

Wife of the late Johnny Warmington, Sr. by second marriage and the late Alfred Dubois, Sr. by first marriage. Loving and caring mother of Leanna Dubois (Louis E., Sr.) Brown and the late Alfred Dubois, Jr., and Alvin Dubois. Stepmother of Johnny Warmington, Jr., Kenneth (Gail) Warmington, Rose Warmington, Nero Meyers, Corey (Natasha) Warmington, Elisha (Nakia) Hampton, Cynthia (Terrance) Stuart, Calvin (Marisol) Dubois, and Yolanda Baah. Grandmother of the late Louis E. Brown, Jr. Daughter of the late Arthur and Leona Williams Smith. Sister of the late Geneva Pajeaud, Julia Smith, Sarah Nelson, Ernest Pugh, and a brother she called “Mann”. Aunt of the late of Victoria Pajeaud. Special sister in law of Selena Pugh, also survived by her caregivers of Lynnay Brown and Nachelle Wallace,3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 30 step grandchildren, 32 step great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 79 years a native of Morgan City, LA and a resident Harvey, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Pride of Gretna Order of Eastern Stars are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Stephen Baptist Church 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. Algiers, LA on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above name church.

Interment: Providence Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA
