Seola Crenshaw

Seola Crenshaw, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the age of 89. She was a native of Gainesville, MS and a resident of Algiers, LA. Seola was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended Xavier University. She was a retired housekeeping supervisor from the Roosevelt Hotel. Beloved wife of the late Milton Crenshaw. Loving mother of Barbara Jackson, Ruthie Crenshaw Anderson, Milton Crenshaw, III, Tommy (JoAnn) Crenshaw, and the late Betty Legaux. Daughter of the late Justin Acker and Lucenda Williams Acker. Sister of the late Willie, John, Sidney, Nathaniel, Floyd, Lawrence, Oris, Evelina, Ella, and Aline. Seola is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Gretna United Methodist Church, Mt Sinai Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Our Lady of Wisdom, The Sheraton New Orleans, Filmore Parc, Extra Point Grill and Rouses are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Gretna United Methodist Church, 1309 Whitney Ave. Gretna, LA on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Will be Private
