Marvin Cecil Peel

SPC Marvin “Sarge” Peel passed away peacefully at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was a native of Mt Pleasant , TX. and a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA. Marvin served his country admirably during the Vietnam War and retired with honors after serving 21 years.

Loving husband of 50 years to the late Doris Peel . Father of Cassie (Marie) Boyd, Duane Peel, Andrea (Robert) Alston, Reginald (Tiffany) Peel, Anthony (Koatney) Channey and the late Valderia Tiernman. Son of the late Cecil and Velma Peel. Brother of Jan White, Debra Rhymes, and Cecilia Moore, also survived by 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Fischer Community Church 1737 L.B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above name church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
