Travis “Taz” Cartez Thomas departed this life on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at University Medical Center at the age of 35. Loving faher of Ashanti Washington, Cortez Washington Tramia Kelly, Travis Thomas, Jr., Trinity Thomas, Travon Kelly, and Traashuad Thomas. Beloved son of Sharon Lockett (Willie) and Darrell Peterson (Shirley). Grandson of the late Joseph Thomas, Sr., Rosemary Jackson, Phillip Jackson, Jr., and Arthur Peterson, Jr. Great grandson of the late Mary Johnson Adams, Phillip Jackson, Sr., George and Eliza Thomas, and Mary Lewis.    Brother of Lekeiya Thomas, Keyonita Thomas, Nygell Thomas, Donyell Thomas, Shameka Poole, and the late Alfred Thomas. Uncle of Zavion Thomas and the late Zantasia Thomas. Godson of the late Richard Dixon and Mrypis Dixon; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, Cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th St. Westwego, LA on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
