Daisy Williams Powell

Daisy W. W. Powell entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the age of 74. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. She was employed for many years at Wynhoven Center. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Powell, Sr. Loving mother of Kenneth Wilson and Stacy Wilson. Foster mother of Tameka Lofton. Grandmother of Kristopher Harper, Tremel (Markisha) Wilson, Keena (Tyrone) Wilson, Krystal (Kevin) Jones, Kennett Wilson, Kentrell Wilson, Tyrell (Monique) Wilson, and Kendra (Marvin ) Downs. Foster grandmother of Razzmin and Taiwan Lofton. Daughter of the late Joseph, Sr. and Selina S. Williams. Sister of Joseph (Miami) Williams, Jr., Mary (Matthew) Miles, Elvera Felton, Eveling (Horace) Chess, and the late James and Matthew Williams, Almeina Williams, Madeline Clement, Dorothy Antoine and Gloria Stevenson. Godmother of Patrick Jones; also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, St. Mary Baptist Church, Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 236 Robinson Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Melvin C. Zeno, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
