Donald Smiley

Donald “Smiley” Smiley entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the age of 58. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Marrero, LA, and presently a resident of Crystal Springs, MS. Donald was a graduate of John Martyn Technical High School. Beloved son of the late David and Catherine Smiley. Loving brother of Antoinette Harris, Darlene Singleton, and the late Michael and Mitchell Smiley. Companion of Alicia Wilson. Godfather of Melissa Harris Tate. Devoted friend of Jerome Craft, Earl Truvia, James E. Stokes and Leonard Chase; also survived by a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of New Salem Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A., Progressive Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Salem Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A., 1540 Mansfield Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Elder George Taylor, host pastor; Elder Leroy Divinity, Jr., officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
