Michael A. Cooper entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the age of 40. Devoted father of Michael Breaud and Makiya Hunter. Beloved son of Josie Cooper and the late Alvin Hobbs. Grandson of the late Willie Byrd and Easter Byrd-Elmore. Brother of Jimmy, Anthony, and Tonya Cooper, Sharon Cooper-Coleman, Alvin Payne, Lisa Bowman-Henry, Cagerial Bowman-Mendes, Yvette Hobbs, Trachell Alexander, Tymika, Shnika, and Sherika Johnson. Godfather of Antan’e London and Da’Marie Williams. Devoted cousin of Toshica Clofer. Special friend of Sharel Esther. Loving friend of Jo’Von Michaels, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors officers, and members of New Home Family Worship Center and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Home Going Celebration at New Home Family Worship Center 411 Opelousas Avenue, Algiers, LA. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Bishop LeRoy J. Phoenix Sr. officiating.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery- Avondale, LA.
