Linda Camese Jones

Linda Theresa Camese-Jones, age 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 23, 2017. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Linda was a retired Surgical Tech and Educator. Beloved wife of the late Eli “Papa” Jones, Jr. Devoted mother of Tresa M. Jones, Shaleta J. Jones, Shareta K. Jones-Rhoden, Nicole A. Jones-Jones, Troy M. Jones, Jeremy E. Jones, and the late Cyril C. Jones, Sr. and Travis A. Jones, Sr. Daughter of the late Joseph Camese and Mary Theresa Payne-Camese. Granddaughter of the late Daniel (Rebecca) Camese, Reuben and Mary “Maggie “Payne. Sister of Phillip Camese, Yvonne “Cynthia” Camese-O’douran, Vera C. Harrison, and the late Earl and Eugene Camese; also survived by 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches; members of L. B. Landry Class of 1967; employees of Jefferson Parish School Board, Orleans Parish School Board, and Jefferson Parish Head Start are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m until service time at the church.
