Lorraine George

Lorraine “Rene” George departed this life at Canon Hospice on Friday, December 1, 2017. She was a retired custodian for the Jefferson Parish School System for over 30 years.

Devoted mother of Dennis George, Cheryl George, Nathan George, Gail Davis, Dwayne George, Belinda George, Ann (Olin, Sr.) Grant, Lorraine (Charlie, Jr.) Harper, Shelita George, and the late Cynthia George Holmes. Daughter of the late James Jones and Annie Mae George Jones. Sister of the late Clarence George, Sr., and Walter George, Sr. Lifelong companion of the late George Frederick, Jr., also survived by 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 79 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor

Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
