Daniel Scott

August 10, 1945 — December 2, 2017

Daniel Scott, age 72, was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Scott, as he was affectionately known was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School. He continued his studies at Southern University where he played football.   Daniel was a veteran of the Vietnam War, from which he was honorably discharged. He was employed with Kaiser Aluminum Company for many years. Loving husband of Audrey Casimier Scott. Father of Rudolph (Rene) Casimier. Grandfather of Eshaun (Latrice) Cohn, Renata Casimier, Marquit Paul, Rukeisha Casimier (Anthony) Joseph, and the late Melvin Paul, Jr. Son of the late Joseph and Eloise Scott. Brother of the late Rev. Willie Scott. Son-in-law of Joseph and Mary D. Casimier. Brother-in-law of Daisy Scott, and the late Elton Casimier and Johnnie Mae Hinton; also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members, of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 1249 Leboeuf St., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Slidell, LA
