Sharon Talley Powell

Sharon Marie Talley Powell transitioned peacefully from her earthly journey on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the age of 63. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Port Allen, LA.

Loving mother of Patricia Birch, Paulette (Bruce) Green, Christina (Eugene) Mason, Sr., Floyd Powell, Jr., and John Leo, Jr. Grandmother of Joshua and Meagan Birch, Charlette (Rodrick) Simmons, Chasity (Terrence) Kelly, Brittney (Darius) Shaw, Christopher Mason, Roselynn and Sebastian Powell, Ja’Nyah , Jaiydon, JaMyrea, Braylon, and Jahryn Leo. Great grandmother of Christian and Rhea Simmons, Terrence Kelly, III, Darius Shaw, Jr., and the late Christian Talley. Daughter of the late Ernest and Bobbie Jean Brown Talley. Beloved sister of Willie Joseph Talley and the late Patricia Talley, and Barbara Talley Houston, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors of St. Joseph Hospice for their dedication and care.

Olive Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Rickey Johnson officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
