Artie Marie Smith Lofton

Artie Marie “Moochie” Smith-Lofton, a retired CNA, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 73. She was a native of Utica, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Loving mother of Sharon (Refuge) Hamilton, Joseph (Victoria) Lofton, and the late Bernard Lofton. Daughter of the late Ervin Smith, Sr. and Mary Smith. Stepdaughter of the late Lenora Smith. Sister of the late Earline Bradley, Ethel Lee Dixon, Willie Lee Smith, and Ervin Smith, Jr.; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Marrero Health Care and A Plus Peoples Home Health Care are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Zion Baptist Church, 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 9:00a.m. Pastor Austin Dennis, officiating
