Edna Marie Francis Holmes departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her residence at the age of 56. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.

Beloved mother of Monchiere’Holmes (Frederick) Jones, Quan Joseph Holmes, and Michelle Marie (Joshua) Ogunyemi. Grandmother of Deiondre E., Xiomara M., and Skylar Holmes, Kennedy M. and Joshua D. Ogunyemi, and the late Morgan R. Ogunyemi. Daughter of the late R.E. Blake and Martha Ray Dutton -Francis. Devoted daughter of Rosia Mary Holmes, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and neighboring churches; employees of Ochsner Westbank Medical Center are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church 329 S. Jamie Blvd. Avondale, LA on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00a.m.
