Quintel Byron Avery was welcomed into God’s heavenly home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the age of 41. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Quintel was employed as an electrician with Bunge North American. Loving father of Veronique Johnson and Camryn Avery. Grandfather of Armani Paxton, Malaiya Johnson and Jordan Hunter. Beloved son of Earl Avery, Jr. and Marguerite Washington Avery. Brother of Sabrina Avery Monix and Kenneth Simmons. Uncle of Sydney Monix; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, St. Mark Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of West Jefferson High School football players, baseball players, and Class of 1995; faculty and staff of West Jefferson High School, Delgado Community College and Marrero Middle School; employees of Bunge North America (Destrehan, LA), Jefferson Parish School Board, United States Postal Service, Ochsner Medical Center Westbank, and University Medical Center New Orleans are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 236 Robinson Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Melvin C. Zeno, officiating Visitation will be held from 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m. at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
