Anthony Bernard Berry

Anthony Bernard Berry, age 73, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 15, 2017. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Anthony was a 1962 graduate of George Washington Carver. He was a retired commercial driver of the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority. After retirement he began a career as a real estate investor.  

Loving father of Rochelle (Pastor Johnny) Smith, Noell (Jolanda) Berry, and Donna Berry. Devoted grandfather of Kiaone (Brian) Woods, Kenneth Martin, Byron Bland, Myron (Erica) Bland, Shar-Day (Joshua) Edmond, Devone Berry, Fanika Smith, Joi Smith, Jonathan Smith, Noell Berry, Jr., Noah Berry, Miguel Davis, Jr., and the late Devin Anthony Berry.   Great grandfather of Kenneth, Jr., Liam, Myron, Jr., Joshua, and Abigail. Son of the late Carva and Bennie E. Berry. Brother of Eula Berry, Leonard Berry, Sr., Darryl Berry, Sr., Edward Berry, and Johnnie Ervin; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Jerusalem Deliverance Church, Household of Faith Family Worship Church International and all neighboring churches; employees of Regional Transit Authority (RTA), HANO, and Amazing Care Services are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Household of Faith Family Worship Church International, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Johnny B. Smith, officiating; Pastor Antoine Barriere, host pastor Viewing will be held from 9:00a.m.-10:00a.m ONLY at the church. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery-New Orleans, LA
