John Davis, Jr.

John Davis, Jr. departed this life on Monday, December 18, 2017 and entered into his new Heavenly home of peace, joy, and happiness at the of 75. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. John was educated in the Orleans Parish School System and was a veteran of the United States Army. Father of Tyrone (Angela), Aaron (Lataisha) Johnson, John Ernest, Safria Sylve, and the late Cynthia Davis. Former husband of Joyce Davis. Son of the late John Davis, Sr. and Rosetta Davis. Brother of Janette Capdeville and the late Ernest Davis, Noby Jordan, Joanna Davis, Mattie Sartin, and Hazel Fontainberry. Uncle of the late Danna Johnson. Dear friend of Rose Garrison, also survived by a host of stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Pilgrim 4th Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral services at Mt. Pilgrim 4th Baptist Church 429 Newton St. Algiers, LA on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 9:30a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named church 

Interment: Southaeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Slidell, LA
