Ellen Elaine Jones

Ellen Elaine Jones entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Kenner Hospital on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the age of 70. She was a native and resident of Westwego, LA. Loving wife of Everett Jones, Sr. Proud mother of Derron and Tamika Jones and the late Everett Jones, Jr. and Alton “Guy” Williams. Grandmother of Amanda Diaz, Kendrell and Aaria Jones. Daughter of the late Audrey Lee Dixon and Samuel Eugene, Sr. Sister of Iola Onezine, Gwendolyn Eugene , Shelia (Rev. Albert) Ketchens, Annette Parker, Paulette Alexander, Kurt (Debra) Dixon,Tracy Eugene, and the late Mildred Lewis, Samuel Eugene, Jr. and Gordon Eugene. Sister-in-law of Henry Jones; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Lincoln High School Class of 1964 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Evening Star Baptist Church, 817 Grefer St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Evening Star Cemetery #2-Harvey, LA
