Susie Mae “Sue “ Tinson entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at her residence at the age of 66. She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. She was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and Phillips Junior College. Sue was employed as a phlebotomist for many years with West Jefferson Medical Center and later retired to private duty. Loving mother of Alisha Tinson (Larry) Henry, Loritta and Shemicka Tinson. Grandmother of David, Megan, Raven, and Shamiya. Great grandmother of Donald, Jr. Daughter of the late Rev. Issac Dan Tinson and Harriet Bethel Tinson. Sister Ruby Tinson (Rev. Joseph) Walker, Rufus Tinson, and the late Loretta Tinson Anderson. Sister-in-law of Olivia Tinson and Keith Anderson. Godmother of Dawn Bethel and Arianne Lyons. Devoted friend of over 53 years Beatrice Palmer; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of West Jefferson Medical Center and First Student Transportation Services are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 Fourth St. Westwego, LA on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Woodrow Hayden, Senior Pastor; Rev. Charlie Washington, Senior Assistant, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
