Mae Nellie Keller Barthelomew entered into eternal peace on Monday, January 1, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Mae retired from the Archdiocese of New Orleans in 2005 after 30 years of service. Loving wife of John Earnest Barthelomew. Devoted mother of Brian, Vincent, and Sheri Barthelomew, and Andrea B. Veal. Grandmother of the late Vincent J. Barthelomew. Daughter of the late Lennis and Veronica F. Keller. Sister of the late Merlin Keller and Cathy K. Scott. Mother in law of the late Norman P. Veal, also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and neighboring churches; members of St. Rita Court #36 Ladies Auxiliary; employees of Jefferson Parish Street Department, Ray Brandt Nissan, Ochsner Healthcare (Westbank), and St. Theresa Specialty are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 10:00a.m.
