Leara M. Burras

Leara Modeaner Burras entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank at the age of 55. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Leara was a Certified Nurse Assistant.

Devoted mother of Iantha Burras (Keenan) Bob, Tasha Burras, Damon Burras, and Nahshon Hughes. Daughter of the late William Thompson and Ruby Degree Walker. Sister of Marlan Burras, Sirk Burras, Santana Thompson, Katherine Burras, Sallie Burras, Kiva Burras, Willi Lafrance Stevenson and the late Jarvis Burrell, also survived by 16 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Family Worship Center and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Home Family Worship Center 411 Opelousas Ave. Algiers, LA  on Saturday, January 13, 2018 @ 10:00a.m.

Bishop Leroy J. Phoenix, Sr. officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the named church.

Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery- Westwego, LA.
